postpartum care

Bringing a new baby into your familiy is a transition that deserves to be supported and nurtured if you are welcoming your first baby or your fifth!

When I am in my role as a postpartum doula I am there to help you along the way. Some areas I provide support in are

-Overnight care. Taking over baby care overnight so you can get some extra rest and be ready to spend time with baby and your family in the morning.

-Feeding. A a certified breastfeeding and lactation educator I am here to help with questions around feeding and to assist in solving feeding hiccups along the way. Not breastfeeding? No problem. I beleive that fed is best and your physical and mental wellbeing matter in the proccess. I am here to help you transition to or incorporate bottle feedings as well.

-Newborn care. Newborn babies need alot of care! Some of it may feel intimidating at first. I am here to help you gain confidence in your ability and skills to care for your new baby. I can guide you through bath times, swaddling, baby wearing, trimming babies tiny fingernails and anything else.

It’s not all about baby…

…YOU matter too! Part of my love for postpartum work is supporting YOU. A new baby is exciting (of course!) but you don’t stop being your own person when they arrive. I do all I can to make sure you and your partner are not lost in the proccess. I am there to talk to about the hard stuff and the happy.

Together we will work to create a space in the newborn phase that feels and is supportive, unique to you, and allows space for questions, learning and keeping true to yourself.
